Global Verge or Globalverge Cell Phone Service MLM

So who exactly is Global Verge or Globalverge? Let's look back at another emotionally hyped technology MLM- Burnlounge (click for details).
Here is a word of advice to the wise (all of the fools can disregard this): never, ever pay money to join an organization and recruit for it if the product you are focusing on is not in existence. If you wonder what can happen to you in the event that you recruit and profit from a system like that, simply go back to the Burnlounge link referenced above.
Ok, now back to Global Verge. Who are they?
Walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...
Global Verge was launched in 2008 by a certain Mark Petschel, a successful MLM participant. In 2004 Mark Petschel was arrested for securities fraud. Sure, we could go on and on about the details about the arrest and how it doesn't necessarily reflect on Global Verge, but why? If you would let a person arrested for a sex offense babysit your kids, then you would probably feel comfortable joining a start-up company focusing on non-existent products run by someone charged with securities fraud.
We've heard about this company for months, primarily due to the amount of people who have thrown their money and reputation lock, stock and barrel into this company.
Global Verge is a piggy-back service. What that means is that they do not have billions of dollars to invest in their own infrastructure- cell phone towers, switching stations, satelite, etc.- so they lease their service from a 3rd party. Now, depending on the Global Verge rep you speak to, that carrier could be anyone from T-Mobile to Sprint to AT&T.
This begs the question: If the Global Verge product is so much better and less expensive than the service offered by the lessor of the service network, why isn't the lessor offering it themselves? In fact, they could offer it for considerably less investment than Global Verge since they are the owners of the network!
This brings up o ne of the most worrisome facts about this company- most of what is being referenced for recruiting and selling purposes is not written and verifiable. That includes anything from the types of phones that will be released through the MLM to the data network they will utilize.
If you run into a Global Verge MLM participant, don't try to argue with him/her. Most of the data they will produce is subjective and not documented. In the event that you begin to make headway, they will almost always revert back to the argument that the cell phone service is just one of the many product offerings from Global Verge.
However, the fact is that the cell phone service offering is the only reason 99% of the participants have joined. If they wanted to actually make serious money from an affiliate program, they would bypass Globalverge and go straight to a company like Affiliate Scout and find one that works for them.
So, in conclusion, we'll leave you with two statements that should guide you when looking at a "business opportunity":
1. Never, ever pay money to join an organization and recruit for it if the product you are focusing on is not in existence.
2. Never trust a person whose sole source of revenue is determined by convincing you that something not documented and not universally supported is a fact.
